Topic: The Tabernacle of God 385
Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)
Note: 2Cor 5:1, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Terrorism and terrorist activities have been around for a very long time. They are not a new phenomenon. Acts of terror have been significant part of our social, religious and political relationships for ages. The academic analysis of terrorism as a politico-religious violence is rooted in modernity.
With the entrenchment of democracies worldwide in the modern era, terrorism seems to have become the most popular strategy designed for the weak against the strong. The religious rulership of the Sanhedrin during the era of Jesus and as witnessed in the early centuries in Israel, had been replaced with modern day democracy. The religious establishment then, was very strong and they enjoyed unquestionable authority, as they had no accountability to the people.
This powerful religious institution of people constituted into a religious cabal, operating principally for their own entrenchment, supposedly with regard to Yahweh, departed from the principles of mercy and justice towards the people under their care, employing acts of terror as a weapon to muscle out the few brave ones who dared to question their double standards and right to enforce the law. These men were a law to themselves and acts of terror using religious zealots such as Paul, proved effective in their underhand dealings of quelling potential uprising against them.
Misguided passion of the youth through brainwashing was the main asset that’s tapped to the advantage of the modern era terror masters. These dagger in cloak religious leaders prosecuted their agenda of terror by twisting and massaging their religious beliefs to their advantage without recourse to mercy and justice. Paul, then Saul, was a victim from the stables of this diabolical religious institution called the Sanhedrin. Yet, grace took hold of Paul’s destiny and brought him into alignment with the purposes of God for his life. The trials and death of Jesus were a mastermind of terrorism using the law as justification for their evil deeds. Yet what they thought was the death of Jesus really became the birth of the redemption of humanity from sin, satan and death.
Food for thought: The redeemed Christian believer is beyond the fear and intimidation tactics deployed in the use of terror against the Church; the body of Christ.
Declaration: Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also we are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who had raised Him from the dead. Col 2:12
