Topic: The Tabernacle of God 381

Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)

Note: 2Cor 5:1, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Paul’s direct and relentless approach to the preaching of the Gospel was admirable for his courage. The earlier experience of the revelation of Jesus to Ananias to go and lay his hands on Paul, the then chief persecutor of the Christians, followed by Ananias’ apprehension and horror in the vision of having to visit Paul the murderer, prompted this response from the Lord in Acts 9:16, “For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” This must have been the reason behind Paul’s unusual courage.

Paul’s attitude towards the preaching of the Gospel was that of a man in a hurry to fulfill his assignment. Infact, recent occurrences in the world, with acts of terror and murdering of innocent Christians by extremists, haters and enemies of the Gospel of Christ, have proved Paul right. If the preaching of the whole Gospel by the whole Church to the whole world is to become a reality, then the Church will need a revolutionary shift in her attitude towards the preaching of the Gospel. The current trend where the message of the Gospel is preached based on the speed of convenience and comfort of believers, seems to have given way to loss of significant grounds and space to haters, extremists and adherents of other faiths to perpetrate falsehood and evil.

The loss of ground and critical space in the hearts of men resulting in attendant terrorizing of Christians, with brutal loss of lives for their carnal pleasure through wanton humiliation, raping of women and public decapitation of trapped Christian believers, should serve as sufficient wake-up call to the Church to arise with all the urgency required to her call to the Great Commission. We cannot continue to entertain such public humiliations depicting terrorists as seemingly in control, terrorizing Christian believers as powerless entities with no hope of a saviour for a dramatic redemption from their God. The message of the Gospel of Christ is the power of God onto salvation (Rom 1:16). We must demonstrate this to the world.

The grand agenda by misguided, misinformed and miseducated adherents of extremist faiths, trying to falsely depict a weak Christian God to the rest of the world, could only be the work and imagination of satan, working actively in connivance with people of same kind, belief and objective, who believe that their god only gets fulfilled and satisfied when women and children are maimed, both single and married women are raped, innocent lives are lost to terror activities, properties and civilizations are destroyed in reckless manner in ways beyond rational sense, that only goes to reinforce the truth that the real face hidden behind their god is actually satan himself.

Food for thought: Any god that sanctions unwarranted loss of lives, raping of women, maiming of children and destruction of lives and property, all in the name of terror, has no sense of justice and truth.

Declaration: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10
