Daily Manna – Perseverance 320

Prayer: Heavenly Father, may we never erect man-centered invisible walls in our minds and hearts.

Note: Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Every individual’s personal conversation within herself or himself has an impact on determining the individual’s reality. The things that we think about and communicate to ourselves all the time, often in the quiet of the moments when we are alone, go a long way in shaping our thoughts and our reality. The conversations one has with himself become the reflections of the person’s mindset. What we often forget so easily is that our mindset has the capacity to hold us back from experiencing the life that we desire.

The mindset is a stronghold and serves as the gatekeeper to achieving our aspirations. A stronghold is a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack. A stronghold takes a lot of hard work and effort to break down. There will be resistance in an effort to break it down as the usual tendency is to expect a fierce fight back. It would require unrelenting effort and great risks before one is able to finally take down a stronghold. Stronghold is the self defence mechanism for protecting the inner fears of an individual.

Stronghold is a place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld. All arguments are advanced in an effort to protecting the integrity of the stronghold, whether for the wrong or right reasons. There wouldn’t be a letting go, unless there’s a superior argument advanced against this stronghold to bring about a sound convincing through the evidence of the new knowledge or wisdom that had been advanced against the old beliefs. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit to bring about conviction of the heart.

Food for thought: The Holy Spirit’s power is in the active business of turning impossible situations into possibilities.

Declaration: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
