Prayer: Heavenly Father, may we surrender our will to the eternal Spirit of God for a mindset change towards Christ.
Note: Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
The LORD will give a new name to those who have overcome through the redeeming grace of God. Overcomers are those who made a decision not to conform to the world system but instead were transformed by the renewing of their minds. The inerrancy of God’s word served as the agent of change for their mindset. They became proof producers, not compromising Christians in sin, conduct and character, drifting along with the seemingly exciting crowd of the world system.
Many people fail to admit that true liberty, happiness and success can truly be found in Christ. These aspirations can be found through renewal of the mind occasioned by a decision to achieve a mindset change. It’s the individual’s mindset and belief system that affect everything in their lives from what they think and feel to how they act and react to the world around them. Mindset change impacts on the command and control system. That’s what decides who or what will be in control of a person’s life and destiny.
Many people fail to achieve their goals in life because their mindsets are not matching up with their aspirations. There’s a gap between their aspirations, which may be noble and worth pursuing, and that of their mindsets. Noble and worthy goals can truly be achieved when a person has allowed the discipline of their inner man to be shaped by the unchanging word of God inspired by the eternal Spirit through the renewing of their minds. Failing to go through the consistent discipline of a mindset change will only leave one’s aspirational goals as a pipe dream.
Food for thought: Conforming to the pattern of the world is allowing the failed values of the world system to be in charge of one’s life and destiny.
Declaration: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
