Note: Most people that had ever fallen prey to confidence tricksters who were unfortunately, masquerading as men of God, did so because they genuinely believed them and in their capabilities to provide the much advertised quick solutions to their needs. These victims that fall in the category of preys, are sometimes not totally oblivious to the tricks and machinations of these unscrupulous people, whom they know to be smart and who are ready to seize the least opportunity to scam unsuspecting victims out of their hard earned money.
The scammer, who has succeeded in branding himself as a quick solution expert for diverse kinds of problems that could range from terminal illness to barrenness to joblessness to visa acquisition to any of the juicy Western nations, nowadays not excluding emerging superpower Eastern nations such as China and the wealthy Asian tigers, have carved a niche for themselves as special and powerful men of God, often supported by amazing testimonies from paid cronies in a carefully choreographed, stage managed display to woo feeble minds into their open nets.
It’s rather sad to note that some of these quick solution seekers that would eventually become victims of these professional predators, are themselves greedy seekers who consider themselves smart enough trying to take advantage of a risky situation. Such people may not deserve sympathies for falling prey to schemes of grandmaster predators who have been in the scamming business for long. This dirty business of trying to outsmart one another to make quick money, using the name of the Lord in vain, by tricksters that are unredeemed by the blood of Jesus, and who have no personal relationship with Christ, has turned the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ into a murky, merchandising field created for their selfish and personal advantage.
Gomer’s feeble mind, her gullibility to new things and new promises, not helped by her insatiable desire for quick wealth and temporary carnal pleasures, created an inconsistent character that became a pawn in the hands of her greedy sexual predators, who wasted no time in wasting her. Gomer’s unprofitable forays into wild sexual adventures for cash and reward, only succeeded in saddling her with a daughter and a son, whose fathers were unknown to her husband, Hosea. Gomer’s wasted years in a booming economic climate reflected the wasted life of Israel in relation to her spiritual husband, Yahweh.
Food for thought: Any life that’s spent outside of a relationship with Christ Jesus, is a life of wasted years.
