Topic: The Tabernacle of God 369

Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)

Note: 2Cor 5:1, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” The wisdom of this world speaks of “enjoying today for tomorrow we die.” This is warped wisdom, a saying after the rudiments of the world system. Even the traditional believers in the world system agree with Paul on death with regards to the dissolution of the body. The main point of departure between the people of the world and Christian believers is the hope that believers have regarding life after death. Not knowing where one is going after death is a calamitous tragedy of life.

The hopelessness of people with no future beyond the grave, the emphasis on the terminal nature of death, vividly explains their aloofness and coldness towards others of humankind. The reckless nature of such lifestyles shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. To them, “there’s no hope of life after death.” Such derisively chosen path of deliberate agnosticism obviously places no responsibility or burden on its adherents towards the welfare of other people; whether they belong to their class of beliefs or outside their circle of beliefs.

The cascading effect and spread of the tentacles of this evil seed eventually comes back to haunt the adherents of such shockingly selfish beliefs. Many people out of frustration with this life, and under intense oppression from demonic forces worrying their warped minds and souls, become confused, give up on the fight for survival and in some extreme circumstances of depression, their troubled minds are able to convince them to take their own lives. Their reckless beliefs that had no respect for any social support system from family and friends, an avenue that could have brought them hope or been of immense help, but which was rudely abandoned by them during their brief period of gaiety or success, becomes the same sword that they fall upon.

Many people with fancy ideas or trips on reckless beliefs may get by for a period of time. But it will definitely fail, so long as it remains the philosophy of vain deception and traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (Col 2:8). Man may have his wish and choice of whatever he decides to believe, but God will finally have His Way with man, whether we chose to believe Him and His Word concerning His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life: he that believes in Him, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25).

Food for thought: There are varied opinions, plans and purposes of men, but it’s the purpose of the Lord that shall stand.

Declaration: And as it is appointed for men once to die and after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27
