Topic: The Tabernacle of God 338
Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)
Note: 2Cor 5:1, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” There are many people who have diverse beliefs about life after death. These beliefs are at variance with what the Bible teaches in life after death. The categories of people that believe differently from what the Bible teaches cut across the very learned in society as well as those who are barely literate. Some of our traditional beliefs that have been handed down over the ages from one generation to another, account for these varied beliefs.
From the above scripture on the dissolution of our earthly tabernacle at death, coupled with the hope of being replaced with a building of God that’s eternal, as Christian believers, we have a solid, unwavering faith in the inerrancy of God’s word, that He who has promised us in the written word shall never fail. It’s impossible in the nature of God to fail, as He is bound by His word to perform what He had said He would do.
The writer of the letter to the Hebrews said in chapter 9, verse 27, “And just as it appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” Man’s appointment with death is once and after that judgment. The clarity of this verse leaves no doubt about the number of opportunities opened to man on earth. Man doesn’t have the luxury or the choice of dying and coming back as another human or animal to earth again. This false teaching is only the wild imagination of fallen man in a vain attempt to satiate his conscience that after all, he will be having several other chances in the after life to change his evil and wayward ways. This obviously dubious teaching of man’s warped philosophy of a failed life, is an evil and reckless doctrine that’s intended to lead many unsuspecting people astray to the abyss of hell.
Couched in one word as reincarnation, this evil, satanic and dangerous teaching on reincarnation is the philosophical or religious concept that an aspect of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body or form after each biological death. It is also called rebirth or transmigration, and is a part of the doctrine of cyclic existence. This unproven and unsupported teaching could mean that a human could come back after death in the form of an animal such as a dog, for example. Unfortunately, this sickly teaching is where the wisdom of man’s philosophy leads his fellow man to, hopeless death.
Food for thought: Jesus Christ doesn’t only give us eternal life. He also gives us abundant life.
Declaration: The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
