Daily Manna | Thursday, January 18, 2018 | Reading: Exodus 33:1-11, Exodus 4, Gen 3:1-21

Topic: The Tabernacle of God 334

Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)

Note: 2Cor 5:1, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” In kataluō, this tabernacle of our soul is dissolved. The function and era of the body come to an end. That which ended up in corruption as a result of the fall of Adam, which began the process of death in man, finally comes to its terminal end. The fruits of rebellion and disobedience that resulted in separation between God and man, finally ends up in what God warned man about, which is death.

This act of rebellion actively backed by satan to overthrow the legal influence of God in man over the governance of this earth, was a conspiracy by satan to overthrow the power and authority that had been legally handed over to Adam by God. Adam was deceptively manipulated by satan into handing over the title deeds to the governance of the earth. This overthrow gave access to satan in the rulership of the earth. Satan became the god of this world (2Cor 4:4).

Since the overthrow of man’s governance, the god of this world had maintained his grip over man through the use of manipulation of the mind. Satan had blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine to them and they see the light and become liberated from his grip. Satan has no authority except to resort to manipulation of them that do not believe.

When man arises to the knowledge and consciousness of the truth that he is created in the image of God, he becomes an instant threat to the grip and hold of satan over his life. The presence of Jesus Christ as the tabernacle of God dwelling with man, offered man the opportunity of who he really is, created in the image of God. This is a truth that satan fears. The light of Jesus Christ in a world of darkness, brings deliverance and the glory of God to man, who hitherto was groping in utter darkness.

Food for thought: Darkness has no power and influence in the presence of light.

Declaration: In whom the god of this world had blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine to them. 2Cor 4:4
