Topic: The Tabernacle of God 173

Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)

Note: 1John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” It is no hidden truth that the compelling love of God that’s so overwhelmingly compassionate; love that’s divine and so pure without preconditions or collaterals; redemption of lost man at the undeserving price of His only begotten Son; a mission that sent Jesus Christ to a brutal, humiliating death on the cross of Calvary in exchange for the sins of ungrateful man.

The price of redemption is the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. It’s so priceless that no man could ever have afforded salvation based on merit or power. Yet, God in demonstration of His ultimate sacrifice and wisdom, decided to make salvation totally free to every man who so wills to be saved. There are no pretentious barriers to salvation as a result of race, religion, position, background, past sins, present sins or gravity of sins.

The only basic qualification required to get saved is to be a sinner. Self-proclaimed righteousness, self-belief, positive thinking, human efforts, wisdom and ingenuity are not requisite requirements for invitation to the cross. Riches, religion, political power and philosophies of men, have nothing in value or merit to contribute towards the salvation of man. It’s free. Jesus made it free when He cried on the cross to announce it to a dying world, “It is finished.”

Salvation is a finished work on the cross, totally initiated by God after the fall of man in the garden of Eden. It is free. In fact it is so free that there are no hidden costs to it. That’s why we call it the good news of the Gospel. God in His wisdom and foresight, took the efforts and works of man completely out of the redemption equation. He did it that way so that no man could boast. Eph 2:8-9

Food for thought: God began the redemption agenda to reconcile man back to Himself at a time that man was busily fighting against God as an enemy.

Declaration: For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. Rom 5:10
