Topic: The Tabernacle of God 171

Scripture: But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building. (Heb 9:11)

Note: 1John 1:7, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” Change in the heart, behavioural change or complete lifestyle change, are only possible for a believer that desires a sincere renewal of the mind.

Rom 12:1, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” In this passage, Paul explains the mind transformation agenda of the believer as only possible if one is able to overcome the pitfalls of the desire of the mind to be conformed to the dictates of the world. Doing so, affords the believer the benefits of being able to become a proof producer of whatever that’s good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

To be conformed to this world is to have one’s mind and character being shaped, patterned and fashioned according to the dictates of the world system. The world system uses the three pronged deadly weapons comprising the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, to influence and control the harmonious arrangement, order, constitution and government of the ungodly inhabitants of the decadent world system. 1John 2:16

To be transformed by the renewing of the mind is to change into another form or precisely to be transfigured into the image of Christ, whose appearance in glory on earth was revealed in resplendent, divine brightness, glory and majesty to Peter, James and John on the Mount of Transfiguration.

Food for thought: All that the world system has to offer man are things that are transient, temporary and time-bound.

Declaration: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
