Topic: From the beginning it was not so 51
Scripture: He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. (Matt 19:8)
Note: Everyone needs forgiveness. We need forgiveness from our spouses, our siblings, relations or families, friends, church members, peers, even strangers and known enemies. We need forgiveness because we are all fallible and are vulnerable to mistakes, wrongs and sin, due to the Adamic nature we inherited from birth.
The need for forgiveness is universal and inalienable, if humanity is to integrate properly into a sanitised society of laws and order. This notwithstanding, the need for forgiveness from God is the most important and critical thing to mankind, as sin alienates us from God. Mankind may deny guilt from sin, and become hardened to the point where conscience is no longer a bother. God is love. He is holy and just. His love does not mean that He sets aside His holiness or His justice simply to save man. He will punish sin.
Violation of God’s holy standards makes man legally guilty in the courtroom of God. Denying the need for God by magnifying our own goodness and merits in a futile attempt to diminish the holiness and justice of God are mere philosophical footprints of the vain imaginations of mankind. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Rom 6:23.
Food for thought: Only Jesus can save.
Declaration: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
