Topic: The empty tomb 55

Reading: Matthew 27:57-66, 28:1-15

Scripture: He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee. (Luke 24:6)

Note: The unanimity in the testimonies of the four Gospel narratives on the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus isn’t coincidental, and it’s enough reason to accept the fact that the resurrection of Jesus was in fact manifested through physical bodily appearances.

To say that the original series of vision experiences were corrupted in the presence of eyewitnesses, during their lifetime to a unanimous testimony of physical resurrection stories would have been an unbelievable and improbable corruption of the oral tradition in so short a time. That would have been another miracle in itself.

The objective vision hypothesis theorists’ disingenuous desire to drive a wedge between Paul and the Gospel narratives is quite a hopeless case doomed to fail right from the onset. They attempted using a misinterpretation of Paul’s writings against what he openly preached on the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Paul’s doctrine of a spiritual body is the doctrine of a spiritually dominated, powerful resurrection body.

Food for thought: The attempt to foment confusion using the New Testament writings against each other by the opponents of the empty tomb was in fact a case that was dead on arrival.

Declaration: Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. (John 11:25)
