God’s people of today who have been redeemed through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, are the shining hope for the nations of the world.

Any nation that finds herself neck deep in any form of corruption, whether financial or material corruption, is spiritually sick and compromised, right from the leadership of the nation through to the priesthood, down to the common man.

In every nation where there are people who call upon the name of the LORD in truth, the LORD sets gatekeepers or watchmen upon the walls, who shall never hold their peace day or night.

Not only did Pharaoh notice the crucial role played by the midwives. Most importantly, God took note of them and built them houses.

People can still be greatly used by God if they are found to be faithful and fear God in spite of their deficiencies.

The qualifications for those who were appointed to the role of gatekeepers were those who were found to be faithful and feared God above many.

When people get compromised in their work ethics, becoming instant beneficiaries through works of negligence, corruption or selfishness, little do they know or understand that they are toying with the immediate and future safety and prosperity of the nation.

Believers ought to be alert to covert operations of wicked forces to take control over the future of the nation.

When people are mindful of the fact that whatever little assignment they find themselves doing carries the future of the whole nation with them, there would be a mindset change in their approach to their assignments (Exodus 1:15-21).

Confronting the fears and intimidation that seek to extinguish the light of our faith, is a battle worth fighting for.
